Coliseum is a near-future political fiction series set in an America where political division has turned gladiatorial — literally. American and Confederate champions fight in arenas while the country watches, bets, and prays. It began as a full-cast audiobook performed by eleven professional voice actors. Now it’s becoming a miniseries — every frame built by one person, using AI filmmaking tools, with no studio, no crew, and no budget.

That’s the other half of what happens here.

The show. Episodes release as they’re made. Some are free — start with Episode 1, and you’ll know within ten minutes whether this story is for you. Most episodes are for members, and membership starts at $5/month on Patreon, which unlocks every episode on Patreon, Spotify, and here.

Field Notes. The making of Coliseum is its own story: what these AI tools can actually do, where they fail, and the craft that’s emerging in the gap. Field Notes documents the process — the prompts, the workflows, the dead ends — for writers wondering whether their own book could become a film. It’s working notes from unmapped territory, published as I go.
